This work explores what it means to both witness beauty and bear the burden of dichotomy and duality. Displayed small in a corner, these videos become metaphors for our hidden dialectic with various parts of our selves. By sharing this intimate imagery, I draw the western gaze away from exoticizing and consuming pain and toward recognizing the role of vulnerability in personal healing.
